I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Worship Leadership, and am currently working on a Master's in Elementary Education. I am also currently teaching myself Spanish and Mandarin. I have exceptional skills in grammar and writing, and I received a perfect score on both the Reading and English sections of the ACT in high school. My degree was writing-intensive, so I have extensive experience with writing research papers. In the past four years, I have taught piano, percussion, guitar, voice, and worked with K-3rd grade students after school at a local elementary school. A Little Bit About Me...

Following the birth of my third child, I taught at her pre-school and caught the teaching "bug". I then completed a graduate program in Elementary Education, taught for one year in the public school system in Florida and then taught for one year in Alabama. I have the ability to help children struggling in reading to make great strides and as a result, gain the self-confidence to do well in school. I believe in a "hands-on" approach as we all learn better by doing than watching. My goal is for a child to like school, like learning, and know he/she can do anything given a little hard work.
