I recieved my bachelor degree which helped my develop strategies to guide children with their reading comprehension as well as math skills. I have been a classroom teacher for three years. I have experience with children ages four though fourth grade. I have taught all subjects and show enthusiam though my teaching each day. I earned an alternative teaching certification, which allowed me to work as an inclusion teacher at the middle school level, which allowed me to spend a great deal of time working with small groups and in one on one settings. I have taught life sciences, Earth sciences, world geography, and United States history. I also have a year's experience of tutoring beginning reading. I enjoy working with students and showing them the joy of learning. I believe that children learn most in small groups and one on one environments. I believe that children learn best when they feel respected. I think that everyone has skills and talents to offer. I try to help my students find their own gifts and work to allow them to succeed in the classroom and beyond.

I have worked for an after school program for the past five years. In this position I was able to tutor students and help them with their homework. The experience I have is with students in grades kindergarten through 4th grade. I did my student teaching in a preschool and a 2nd grade classroom. In the after school program and the student teaching experience I helped students with all school subjects including english, math, science, social studies and reading. I pride myself on helping students have fun while learning. I believe that if a student is not enjoying themselves they will not learn. As a teacher I use a hands-on approach to give the students a realistic approach to learning. All students can learn and as a teacher I feel it is my job to bring the best out of any child. I love children and I long to make a difference in each ones lives.
