A great benefit to teaching so many Biology labs was working with the professors to accomadate their lecture material and create a hands-on application for my students. I found this a wonderful opportunity to take a lot of information and to synthesize it in such a fashion that students could understand a complex process in a simple way. For example, visual demostrations were a favorite of mine, where you could see the light of 'understanding' in my student's eyes. In addition, I'm always very clear on what are the expectations for exams and pop quizzes, so that studying can be more focused.

In 2005, I earned a Master of Science in Animal Sciences from the University of Florida. I have done a lot of research and am proficient in many areas of biology. Teaching is what I do. I have found that I have a skill for transferring information to children without them at times even realizing it is happening. I am not a strict disciplinarian but never allowed my classroom to get out of hand even when it was filled with 40+ students. I respect children and their differences.
