During my high school years I would volunteer to help children through various charities and church. When I attended college I became an Early Childhood Education major and volunteered in preschool and elementary schools. During my Student Teaching in Des Plaines I was in complete control of a Kindergarten classroom and later a 2nd Grade class. After graduating I began working in a daycare where I created activities for children as young as 3 years old and activities and homework help for elementary students as old as 13.
When I am teaching I am very patient and try to organize the lesson or my assistance in steps. I'll have the child read the problem or question, ask what they know about it, see if they understand the question and proceed. I have taught "Introduction to Business & Technology" since March, 2008 and was promoted to teaching two classes online in 8-week cycles as "adjunct professor" in mid-2010. I was promoted to "visiting professor" in 2011, and enjoy working with students who range broadly in ability. My greatest strength is in helping students to believe in their own ability through aspects of mentorship and encouragement. I emigrated to the United States 15 years ago, and worked as a soloist(baritone) touring the U.S. I established my own music studio in Chicago where I teach voice, piano, saxophone.
