I am a recent graduate of Grand Canyon University with a B.A. in History. I am currently enrolled in my Masters in Secondary Education at Grand Canyon University Online. In addition I am in the process of becoming certified in New York State in Social Studies 7-12. My approach when teaching children is child centered. The activities I provde are needs driven and geared toward the child experiencing success as he works to increse skills in the target area. I teach the child to use strategies which will help him in the area of organization and learning. I began my teaching career at a small elementary school in Maine. While there I worked with students ranging from ages five to fifteen. Some of my more memorable experiences were working with second and third grade students who required reading interventions.
