i am self taught on computers in software and hardware. Went to ITT for 6 months to be an electrical engineer, left due to medical issues. Worked for a C.A.D distributor for over a year in the warehouse and doing repairs and upgrades. Microsoft sent a copy of windows XP before it was released to the public to help set up that operating system to work with different hardware profiles. I believe all students can learn and use my training and experience to adapt my teaching strategies to individual learning styles. Using student interests can help direct teaching that improves students’ enjoyment of learning. For instance, when teaching reading to boys I have found that they often like to read more factual reading material about sports, science, history, mechanics, etc. Student interests change as they get older and reading material needs to be age appropriate.
