Hello! I admire all things in the visual arts field and most importantly educating those that are interested or have the desire to enhance their artistic creativity. I am a recent graduate from the VCU arts program, the number one public arts school in the nation. During my time there, as well as after graduation, I have taught a variety of art class to mostly younger age children and early adolescence. I’m interested in teaching children earth science and molecular biology. During college I studied art also, this allowed me to be strong in diagrams and understanding photosynthesis and other processes in science with great detail. I learned by color and charts and relied on a dry erase board to learn the human body in Anatomy. I could take a mental picture and learn the names clearly.
My only documented tutoring was with the local elementary school in a program called “Reading Buddies”. I had a syllabus for the children and was rewarded with clear results on both children. It was an after school activity during High School and only lasted for one school year. I remember the feeling of having a result and the satisfaction that only a few minutes spent lasted till the end of the program.
