My teaching style is so passionate, I love opening doors to where students actually grasps the idea of learning and the effectiveness of it. As a young adult I often times relate my learning experience to theirs, in order for the students to see hard work actually pays off. My only documented tutoring was with the local elementary school in a program called “Reading Buddies”. I had a syllabus for the children and was rewarded with clear results on both children. It was an after school activity during High School and only lasted for one school year. I remember the feeling of having a result and the satisfaction that only a few minutes spent lasted till the end of the program.
I’m interested in teaching children earth science and molecular biology. During college I studied art also, this allowed me to be strong in diagrams and understanding photosynthesis and other processes in science with great detail. I learned by color and charts and relied on a dry erase board to learn the human body in Anatomy. I could take a mental picture and learn the names clearly.

I have earned a Bachelors of Fine Arts at Virginia Tech in 5 years after transfer twice before. I was very successful at Virginia Tech my professors were always impressed with my drive to succeed.
