During my sophomore year I started tutoring for the mathematics department, educating my peers in a wide variety of mathematical topics. This was a very enjoyable experience in which I took pride in my ability to instruct in mathematics such as calculus and statistics. During my junior year I started tutoring computer science on the side, which my students told me I was more proficient at than the college hired tutors. My senior year I was appointed a fellowship in the mathematics department during which I was in charge of the tutoring program. I also have a lot of experience playing the saxophone, mainly classical, but also in jazz. I tutored through a community development after school program for a year; in which I helped 4th-8th graders with their math and reading homework.
