I have worked as a tutor for 10 years in all subjects, especially focusing on ESL learners. Recently, I have worked in an ESL school (FLS International) with university age students seeking to matriculate into American Universities. Before that, I worked in South Korea teaching English. While employed at these schools, I also work part-time as a tutor- mostly for middle and high school age students. Many of my students struggle with time management, and this is a main focus in my tutoring sessions.

A Little Bit About Me...

My junior year I studied abroad in France, I lived and breathed French. I lived with a host family, living as the French do. I even studied abroad in Morocco after that, further strengthening my French language skills. As a child I always had the desire to learn French and upon entering college is when I began fulfillment of that desire. I love the language and I enjoy teaching it to others.
I have worked in several preschools and have experience as an Au-Pair in Italy last summer. I like to engage children and have a lot of fun with them through learning but I also know how to discipline. I am very patient with children and understanding. I also taught one year of Language Arts (grade 8). I established a peer tutoring and stud habits program at Branham High School for ninth graders who were struggling to pass their classes. At A Place for Teens center in Los Gatos, I ran a peer tutoring program for students who had no other place to do their homework.
I am passionate about inspiring students to enjoy reading and writing.
