I have worked as a tutor for 10 years in all subjects, especially focusing on ESL learners. Recently, I have worked in an ESL school (FLS International) with university age students seeking to matriculate into American Universities. Before that, I worked in South Korea teaching English. While employed at these schools, I also work part-time as a tutor- mostly for middle and high school age students. After obtaining my teaching credential in English, I taught high school English for three years (grades 9 & 10) and drama for one. Then I taught special ed English for two years. I also taught one year of Language Arts (grade 8). I established a peer tutoring and stud habits program at Branham High School for ninth graders who were struggling to pass their classes. At A Place for Teens center in Los Gatos, I ran a peer tutoring program for students who had no other place to do their homework.
