A Little Bit About Me...

Having my bachelor degree in English and Philosophy, I have been given a unique understanding towards how to ask questions to make people think about the material they're reading, and what questions the material is trying to ask. Supporting this is my background as a writing center assistant at college which not only offered me the chance to improve my own work, but, also to learn how to guide frustrated students without giving in to the temptation to do the work for them. During this past year, I have worked with second and third generation Chinese children, teaching English, math, art and science on a first grade level.

I currently work with students in 3rd through 8th grade teaching music and spiritual gifts indentification classes. I have volunteered in classrooms of elementary age students during my college years. I worked with students one on one in these settings catching them up with the rest of their class on current projects.
