Specializing in discovering how student best learns. Open Ended Questions, Focus on Strength while pinpointing areas of weakness to correct and strengthen areas of concern. Teach child as a whole person understanding we need trust and confidence to truly reach our potential. STUDENTS HAVE TROUBLE LEARNING WHEN TRUST BREAKS DOWN AND THEY ARE AFRAID TO EXPOSE WEAKNESSES OR ASK QUESTIONS. To me, this is the key to success--trust in a safe and challenging and FUN learning environment wheee mistakes are treated as paramount to learning, not as hindrances.

In addition to tutoring algebra in my past, I have had the pleasure of serving as a summer camp counselor, an after-school activity facilitator, a pediatrics unit volunteer and a number of other child-based positions, many of which have taken place in the Madison area. Throughout college, I took various education courses that focused on educational philosophy and physiology, elementary and secondary concentrations, and students with disabilities. I was able to obtain 36 education credits and in 2009, I was admitted into the school of education at my university where I was able to engage in student teachings, researchers, and observations. In 2011, I participated in the student outreach program where I would visit elementary, middle, and high schools to tutor them in English, Math, or Science and guide them through the learning process. From 2007 to 2012, I was part of the writing gym at school where I would help fellow students with their papers and tutor them about his/her grammar and writing struc ... read more
