I graduated high school in 2008. I then attended West Ga Tech., for over a year. I majored in technical communications and took numerous computer classes. I love computers and Math. My philosophy of discipline is simple: observe, take data and find the function of the behavior. When a student misbehaves in class there is an underlying reason. Every behavior has a function. The function can be to gain access to an item or person, to avoid doing the work or aggressive behaviors if they do not understand the assignment completely, medicine or personal affects (hungry, sleepy or thirsty). I also believe in “brain breaks”. My students take a break every hour to get up, walk around, listen to music and get the wiggles out. A Little Bit About Me...

During the last 10 years I have worked with all levels of students, preschool through college levels. These areas include reading, math, english, psychology, science and social studies. I am a self starter and have worked with parents when I owned/operated my private daycare. A Little Bit About Me...

I have always had an avid love of learning. I attempt to make my students love it too. I try to incorporate things the students like into the lessons (for example, I used football scoring to explain mathematic concepts to a 10 year old boy).
