Painting is one of my top subjects! I have my Masters Degree in Drawing and Painting and my Undergraduate Degree in Studio Art. I continually produce artwork professionally which can be viewed on my website: Jessicafife.com. I frequently exhibit in my city Long Beach, Los Angeles, surrounding cities, nationally and online.

I served as a Teaching Associate at Cal State Fullerton from 2009-2010. During that time I gained valuable skills leading undergraduate students in courses of Painting and Life Drawing. During my teaching term there I successfully wrote the curriculum for every course, including foundational technical methods with modern concepts, with a variety of media. In my Life Drawing classes, students were taught core traditional methods, ranging from Anatomy, 8-head-high figure measurement to Composition and light and shadow shapes. The key to being a good teacher is being patient. I believe children learn best in a positive and stress-free environment. When a child does good on the work then I praise them and if they make a mistake then I explain to them the error in the homework. When I was a small child, I remember my teacher being patient and helping me along the way. I feel that although children learn in different ways and different paces that being patient with children is a universal and effective teaching style.

I have enjoyed working with students who have all been at different levels in their education. I have found that every student learns differently and as a tutor in order to help them succeed you have to be able to quickly adapt your technique to fit that child. My excellent writing skills, ACT score of 35, and passion for academics got me into Vanderbilt University, from which I acquired my BA in 2009. I studied every subject I could but found most pleasure in political science and sociology. In addition to these fields, I have expertise in grammar, essay composition, and a variety of creative arts. I also have teaching knowledge of the basic maths and sciences.
