Drawing is one of my top subjects! I have my Masters Degree in Drawing and Painting and my Undergraduate Degree in Studio Art. My focus is for my students to acquire a sound understanding of the fundamentals of drawing and painting and to become grounded in their unique abilities and concepts. I love to work with children because it allows me to use my creativity. I tend to use a more kinesethic, hands-on approach in my teaching. I believe that when children are able to have the subject matter displayed to them in a 3D format, they are able to comprehend it's use in the real world. It also keeps their attention span active. For example, once when working on fractions with a student I brought in playdoh that we shaped into a pie. The child was able to create the fractions with their hands and was excited about taking pieces away and counting what was left in the pie.
