College Student Eager to Tutor

I am patient and love to give one on one attention. I give all the time that is needed for the student to understand the material. I like to do a hands-on or demonstration to explain a topic, explain it with examples and then give practice problems.
I tutored at my high school for three years and have been surrounded by teachers my whole life. I am about to start tutoring at my college this summer and continue into the fall part time. During my course as a math tutor, I’ve found one on one tutoring to be most effective. Each child presented different needs and was receptive to different teaching methods, so I would meet with them individually. I believe each child is just as likely to succeed as the next one, and as a tutor, it is my job to encourage and instill confidence in them.
