My teaching style is a combination of techniques I found successful during my educational studies. First, I believe the teacher has to be passionate and have a true love for what he or she is doing; this is passion, or lack thereof, is evident when interacting with a student. Second, patience is of upmost importance. In my experience, nothing inhibits learning as much as a rushed or pressured feeling when one is trying to learn. Finally, it is critical to find a way for the student to relate to the material in a way they understand. I graduated high school in 2000 with a local diploma and then went on to college at Utica School of Commerce. I graduated in 2002 with an Associated Degree as an Administrative Specialist. I have worked at a few different jobs and just went back to college again at Utica School of Commerce and got my certificate degree as a Medical Office Assistant.
When helping others, I do it two ways. I tell them how to do it and guide them through it. Other times, I show them how to do it. However, I do not do it for them. I would love to have the chance to help children succeed in their education! It would be an honor!
