I am currently pursuing a degree in secondary education with a specialization in American History. I have a passion for the subject and for helping students succeed. I just completed my practicum last fall and was active in a 10th grade World History class for about 10 hours a week. During the summer of 2011 I was employed at girl scout camp in Lake George where I planned and taught History lessons for our weekly programs. I also have worked for the Walt Disney Company, in the Magic Kingdom. While I was there, I was able to do American History trivia and tours for the Liberty Square area. I really enjoy engaging the student in discussion of the topic and helping them experience the events in History rather than just remembering dates and locations.

I feel as if students of the violin should develop musically as well as skill wise. Not only should you improve in your technical skills, but also your ability to interpret music on multiple levels.
