I have taught both regular and special education, early childhood, speech/language correction, and elementary Spanish, before moving into supervisor, principal and, finally, superintendent positions in public schools in southern NJ. My philosophy of education is that all students can learn, and it is up to us as teachers to present materials in a way for their understanding. In the classroom with the use of differntiated instruction and tiered assignments I think this helps reach most learners. I also think the use of manipulatives in the classroom help those students who are more hands-on.
