I am an Elementary Education major at Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska. I have many hours of field experience that I have completed for my education courses. I have helped out with all age groups during my field experience. My father is a teacher and my mother runs a daycare in our home, so I have spent much time teaching children various subjects, along with helping children with their homework.
I believe it is so important to be a stepping stone for a child. You should be there for them when they start to stumble, but you shouldn't do everything for them.

My teaching style is about positive feedback and patience. With my experience in psychology I have found that a calm nurturing environment lends itself to bolstering understanding for children. As a college graduate and a mentor at a behavioral health facility I have gained valuable knowledge and confidence in one on one guidance. I have a BA in psychology and a BFA in studio arts and I am currently pursuing a place as a PhD candidate in the educational psychology program at UNL. I am experienced in math, english, psychology, and studio art. Also, I volunteered for the Lincoln Initiative for Tutoring program where I tutored elementary students after school and served as a role model.
