REAL LEARNING IS FUN, RISKY, DANGEROUS...BUT NEVER BORING :)

My experience spans both the ivory tower and the world of business and industry. I have observed that "TEACHING" is often associated with the ideas of "PRESENTATION" and "ACADEMIC ENTERTAINMENT". Honestly, for many students it is comforting, soothing, and safe to sit in a chair and listen to an "ADULT" sing to them in the language of Calculus, Organic Chemistry, Java, etc. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THAT APPROACH. Nevertheless, I too have sung to many students in the language of General Chemistry at the Junior College Level. A Little Bit About Me...

After my BS in Chemical Engineering, during which I gained an understanding in many areas of math and science. I was immediately retained in the University to teach; in the period of 2007 to 2008 I taught almost all the math classes at undergraduate level while at the same time I actively participated in research at a drug development center before joining University of Tulsa (TU). At TU, I have been a tutor for 2 freshman classes including math and introduction to chemical engineering. Currently am tutoring heat and mass transfer, fluid mechanics and calculus.
