I have a love for learning and teaching!

I have been teaching special education for six years. I taught special education to kindergarten through third grade in a Montessori school for four years. I have experience in teaching students with disabilities in reading, writing, and math. Many of my students have also been diagnosed with ADHD/ADD, autism, learning disabilities, and emotional impairments. I am currently teaching my second year at a center-based school for autism. I studied at Kalamazoo college, which was a liberal arts school that encouraged students to take a variety of courses. While, my major and expertise is in Biology, I learned about many different subjects and cultures through study abroad and course work.
