I am a culinary school graduate and a full-time chef. As part of my chef-ly duties, I regularly find myself teaching cooking techniques and helping people become more comfortable in the kitchen. When it comes to writing, that I do more for my own amusement, but I have always considered myself more of a writer than anything else. I have a daughter that is hearing impaired and has a langauge processing disorder. I also have a teenage son that is extremely bright, but a little lazy at school work. Teaching and watching them learn has shown me all children can learn, but they do it in different ways and at different speeds. I am a kind tutor, but diligent in making sure all the work gets done and we are moving forward as quickly as the child can. I am able to help students build their papers from the bottom up and go through completed papers and give assistance. I feel that I am able to teach and explain the elements that are required in a paper so that students may write better papers in the future. I greatly enjoy the one-on-one experience.
As a former English major and editing minor at Brigham Young University I helped many students write and edit research and English papers.
