Also, I was a dual-enrolled student at EGSC during my high school career, completing advanced level courses in Literature and Mathematics. I have been involved with youth for a long time as scoutmaster and as coach in recreational soccer. I enjoy working with children, especially if they are willing to learn and improve their skills and knowledge. I assess the student's grasp on the subject and determine where assistance is needed. Using various means I then help the student to get the knowledge needed to achieve academic success.
As a student in high school, I became fascinated with Chemistry and went on to earn a BS in Chemistry. I have substitute taught for over 16 years and this past year I worked with the SES program tutoring. My areas of focus are sciences and maths but I have had to tutor reading. This year I tutored middle school students but I have tutored elementary as well. I tend to focus on the high level maths and sciences often taking long term positions in high school.
