Working with students in math, I like to ask what the student enjoys doing while not in school. I like to relate this to the math to make it more interesting as well as making it fun. This will also make the student more comfortable and lowers the stress level. As I finished up my studies, started tutoring for lower level math majors. This included Calculus I,II,III, and statistics. As I moved on through classes, I began teaching more abstract classes in Mathematical theory. This experience has helped me able to explain a complex topic in simple terms. I usually spend the first session finding a child's weaknesses in the subject. After this, I will prepare a list of problems for the child to work on under my supervision.
