In industry, I was a Mechanical Engineer and spent time in management. I have a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a MBA. I spent ten years in the Army and National Guard.
I am divorced and raising four children. I am active in the local Boy Scout troop.
Teaching Style
Coming from a large family and having a large family myself, I have always been around children of all ages and enjoyed working with kids to develop themselves and prepare them for a meaningful place in our society.
I am very patient with children and will use different approaches to teach. I try very hard to install a love of learning and work hard to encourage a curiousity of any subject that interests them.
I believe in a strong basis of arithmetic skills in younger grades. In the high school, I use real-world applications to develop problem-solving skills through the use of mathematics.
