I have discovered that every students is capable of achieving greatness if someone will take the time and effort to learn their learning style. I pride myself in being able to break things down to the most basic levels if necessary in order to reach a student. Often you have to know a child's personality, background, and home life in order to understand what he or she relates to. I don't believe in teaching a subject, I believe in teaching a student. Children have different learning styles and every child doesn't learn at the same rate. Teachers must realize this when planning lessons. I have tutored elementary students during my tenure in the Air Force on a volunterr basis. I worked as a Introduction to Computers instructor at Keiser College for two semesters. As a child growing up in a community which had many high need areas for education, I found that even with little resources my teachers provided the best education to me which got me an academic scholarship to college.
