I was a substitute teacher in California and Michigan during the 2000's. I also had my own high school level classroom in California for two school years. I was hired on an "Emergency Credential" because I had my BS but no teaching credential. I was laid off due to budget cuts in June of 2003. I have worked quite a lot with elementary school children, whether it be in or outside of work. I have done independent tutor work, mainly in the fields of Art and Language Arts. In the past I had a long-term job in which I was required to interact with young children, and I did so willingly.
