LEARN INDIAN VOCAL MUSIC

I have four years of music teaching experience in India and have been running an Indian music academy in Michigan since two years. I have been performing with several bands in Michigan and had once collaborated with India-Day event in 2012. I often represent lecture-demonstrations in schools with a percussionist Dan Piccolo. I have been performing Ghazal, Bhajan, and semi-classical forms like Thumri and dadra since childhood.

A Little Bit About Me...

How I like students to learn different styles of music is by seeing where they are in the progression of piano playing then building on top of the knowledge obtain.It's many ways for someone too learn piano playing, but the student can never learn unless its hands on.
I have been playing Classical piano since the age of seven, from their I moved onto other styles/forms piano playing such as Jazz, Modern, Orchestra, etc. Now I'm currently at Macomb community College for Jazz Improvisation, Music Theory, etc. And will transfer to Clark Atlanta University for Jazz Orchestra.

Looking to get your student to catch up during the summer?

I am used to teaching both students close to my age and students younger than I. I always try to explain ideas in ways that make the student think. I never like to hand answers to students, so I do my best at having students learn in their own way with someone helping them along. Being a virtuoso, I believe practice makes perfect in every subject. The way to best understand something new is to review it and practice it. I have a substantial amount of patience when it comes to teaching. I am also a very generous, kind, and humorous person who has learned to live life to its fullest.
