I have always approached a teaching lesson as a learning opportunity. Learning is a fundamental skill. If you don't have your basic fundamentals, your student will have difficulty advancing. So, I always start with basic fundamentals such as; note taking, study skills, and comprehension! All sciences demand the ability to link concepts together. Ex. cells make up tissues, tissues make up organs, organs make up organ systems,etc.....! I was involved with a youth program for most of my time in college, so I am able to relate easily to a variety of ages and work with them in such a way that they feel comfortable and confident. I graduated from UCF in 2006 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering, and I've been working as an engineer and project manager in the field ever since.
