I have tutored on and off for the past 12 years. I have tutored people from 5th grade to age 50. I have much experience tutoring any type of math up to Algebra II. In my experience as a tutor, my students have most often struggled with Spanish because they're not able to see the perspective put forth in class. I've learned that by looking at a concept in a new way - with new examples, a story, a different context - the 'right' approach for that particular student can be found. I absolutely believe in a patient, understanding approach that encourages questions and discussion, and leads to a deeper understanding of the material.

I have formally tutored with Madison College on two occasions lasting a year. I was also Tutoring throughout my time at Edgewood on a drop in basis with any students that came to the math department and could not reach a professor. I have a BS in Mathematics and doing math at all levels is fun for me.
I enjoy helping students work through tough problems by allowing them to make mistakes and then rework the problem a couple of times the correct way. Since this is my area of expertise, I am able to come up with examples on the fly that will target the areas most troublesome to the student.
