Making A Difference

In May 2012, I received my bachelors degree in English with a Literature Emphasis and a minor in Writing. I graduated with a 3.6 g.p.a. (Cum Laude Honors.) Throughout college, I took various education courses that focused on educational philosophy and physiology, elementary and secondary concentrations, and students with disabilities. I was able to obtain 36 education credits and in 2009, I was admitted into the school of education at my university where I was able to engage in student teachings, researchers, and observations. It is important to have that type of space so as to ensure that students do not form a sense of anxiety when entering the room or when studying that particular subject. I love creating a variety of activities: group, individual, hands-on, problem solving, comprehension and reading, and activities where students have to get up and move around. As long as concepts and terms are rehearsed and relearned students will be able to store it better than if they learned it once and then move on to the next concept.
