Piano lessons should be fun, as well as instructive. Piano is one of my top subjects!

I teach classical piano, so my students work on scales, arpeggios and etudes to quickly enhance their technique. Their repertoire is varied, but always include piece by one of the greatest composers of the past (Bach, Mozart, Brahms, to mention only a few) and a piece by contemporary composer. The students also play light jazz and they enjoy it a lot.
Over 20 years of teaching experience as a school music teacher, private piano and theory instructor, and conductor for church and community choirs. I work to make every students meet her goals, thus, each lesson is designed to particular student. I accept students age of 5 up to 70. A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy teaching and coaching. As a chess coach I taught a group of 10-20 children. I have also helped coach some of my son's sports, but what I really enjoy is one-on-one teaching although my experience is mostly limited to teaching my third grade son who is very advanced and teaching accounting to a non-accountant assistant at work. I am patient and respectful and am able to get along well with everyone.
I have a very strong level of education and experience in accounting and finance. I have a BS in Accountancy at the University of Illinois and passed the CPA as well. In addition to the insurance designations of FLMI, FFSI and AIAF, I also passed the Series 7, 27 and 63 exams and was a broker/dealer Financial and Operations Principal for several years. My pre-medical school coursework allowed me to gain conceptual and hands-on understanding in the areas of inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, physics, and biology. In addition to my scientific training, I enrolled in the Honors program with a concentration on Western Civilization. The curriculum that the Honors program offered took me through the writings of Homer to the films of Roman Polanski. I have gained extensive experience writing research papers, laboratory reports, book reviews, memoirs, fictional stories, and analytical critiques.
