My teaching style is very student driven. I take students interest in account when helping them. The ultimate goal of education is teaching students to overcome their weakness and teach them to use tools, so they can love learning. Over the last 15 years, I have worked in various different areas. First, I taught adult ESL, and had occasional tutoring gigs with Russian speakers learning English, and some English speakers learning Russian. Currently, I work as a special education teacher. Part of my job is to work in small ratios with honors students who have disabilities. This "study skills" class often requires one-on-one tutoring.
As it has evolved over the years, my teaching style has become a mix of facilitation and direct instruction, with the goal always being the student's making his own discovery. A Little Bit About Me...

I have work with special education student, as well as advance placement student. I have only noticed one difference with each group and that is the pace that the classroom goes in. Although I enjoy working with small groups or one on one with student I believe that I am able to work with more then ten students at a time. I really try to let the kids explain to me how they interoperate the dictation first and then help them a long. I let all the students do as much as they can on their own, I believe is the best way to assists a child which I have done volunteering at the Land L Learning center, I worked with young age group going into first and six grade to help them get up to grade level in reading.
