When I entered college I was immediately drawn to tutor my peers as needed. I worked with the single mom's program at IVC and also did job coaching for the City of Long Beach Disabled program. Once I graduated from college I had the opportunity to join the Boys & Girls Clubs, specifically designing educational and technology programs. I enjoyed tutoring about 50 youth a day. As a result some parents requested that I run a special off hours program at their middle school to tutor the ADHD kids. A Little Bit About Me...

I have always had a passion for teaching students who face challenges in their lives. My focus is on the student and his lifelong education above test scores. I know that all children can learn and work hard to connect with each of my students and to individualize their educational experience.
During college, I worked as a home-school Spanish, Language Arts and History teacher for students ages seven through fourteen. I volunteered in classrooms, tutored, and provided childcare for children with special needs. I studied Spanish and abroad. Upon graduation, I began my teaching career in L.A. where I taught kindergarten. After three years, I decided to teach abroad and moved to a small Chinese city where I taught preschool.
