While in high school I tutored two other high school students in math, and an elementary school student in math and English, and also provided help in social studies and science. In College I volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters for a number of months. My mother is a pre-k special ed teacher, I volunteer in class usually once a week to help with the occupational therapy motor lab. My triple major in anthropology, history, and religion required many papers to be written, so I have a strong sense of how to use the English language in writing. The schools told me my son would never learn to read or write. He is my only child out of four who reads lengthy books for pleasure. Everyone has a different style of learning.
