My teaching style adapts to the students current level of knowledge. I always model 2 or 3 problems step by step before asking the student to try a problem. A student is comfortable knowing that I have "their backs" and won't let them be frustrated for long. This gives a student confidence to try problems on their own.

I got the tools you need to succeed !

I have taught high school students for five years now. However, I have taught college freshman for a year only. But, I do know what I am doing and I know how to help students. I am patient with everyone so I can communicate better and understand my students problems so, I have always succeeded in helping my students.
I am currently a college sophomore at Florida Institute of Technology studying Computer Engineering so I know the problems a high school or school or college student would face in studies. The most important part of teaching is to teach students the principle or concept behind a subject. I do not believe in making students memorize absurdly large lists of facts in order to pass a test. Learning should be more fundamental than that. When a student has been successfully taught something, the student should be able to solve an array of problems with a common theme.
At college I worked as a tutor for two years in the areas of chemistry and mathematics. I earned BA's in chemistry and biochemistry and have some laboratory experience. I never give up on a child or an adult. I recently tutored a law enforcement official to help him understand and pass algebra. He didn't think anyone could help him. The schools told me my son would never learn to read or write. He is my only child out of four who reads lengthy books for pleasure. Everyone has a different style of learning. My teaching methods I alter to suit those needs. I spent three years trying to help my dyslexic son learn to read one sentence. I have patience and I love helping people.
