I would say that the greatest personal attribute that the Lord has given me when it comes to teaching is patience. I allow the student the time that it takes them in order for them to "get it" without pressuring them. I also like to make the material as simple as possible by teaching in a manner where I like to emphasize understanding as opposed to just being able to do it. I'll explain more thoroughly reiterating some key points after the initial exposure, and then try to pick out weaknesses while watching the problem set progress and work on those weak points. I like to encourage the student by pointing out the things they are excelling at.
I tutored for the Sylvan Learning Center in 2010. I tutored all math subjects K-12 and occasionally science. I was most successful teaching High School Physics.
