I have always had a strong appreciation for education and learning new things. My educational experience was strengthened when I attended Cornell College, which has a strong liberal arts program. I immediately took an interest in the sciences and pursued a Bachelor's degree in Biology/Pre-medicine. Because of my elementary background, it is safe to say I am a very patient person and I use that skill in my ability. I allow the children to create their own paths and when there are roadblocks we work together to find a solution. I am not in the habit of giving students the answers. I feel education is most effective when self discovery is involved and I want my students to feel that they are learning and achieving in every way possible. As a graduate of Bethel University, I am currently pursuing a teaching career and am committed to excellence.
