A Little Bit About Me...

I am very flexible in my teaching style and have helped students who learn in very different ways. While I was working with the Reading by the River program I worked with four different students each of which learned in very different ways. From this I learned at a very early time in my life that it is crucial to cater to each individual students needs. I personally have a more analytical mind and analytical learning style however I have learned how to explain technical aspects of accounting in a variety of ways.
When I was in 7th and 8th grade I participated in America Reads where I helped teach elementary children how to read. As a graduate teaching associate at the Ohio State University and having studied Business Administration at the University of Applied Sciences of Aachen, I have practical experience dealing with all forms of parlance in the German language. These strengths, combined with a deep knowledge of and fluency in the German language, prepare me to make a strong impact as a tutor. I have extensive teaching skills in the German language due to my time as a graduate teaching associate, having coached and tutored students in mass and one on one.
I use all methods of second language acquisition in my teaching. Most of the exercises I use to help beginning are communicative methods.
