I started in the Master of Education in the Teaching Arts at Mississippi College this past January and recieved by Class A Teacher's License in June of this year. I am certified to teach grades 4-8 in all four of the major subjects: math, science, social studies and language. I am also certified to teach grades 7-12 in the social studies area: US History, government, geography, and world history. Throughout my matriculation at Tougaloo College, we have always been taught to be critical thinkers and to be professional. I have achieved a BS in Biology, and in that major I focus mainly on biology, chemistry, and some math. Also, we complete research papers and laboratory reports which must be grammatically correct and terse. During the last two years of my college career, I assisted my professors in explaining biology and/or chemistry to the incoming students.
