A Little Bit About Me...

In my Masters in Teaching program we are learning about differentiation and working to find the best vehicle by which to present information to students. For example, if a student has a talent and passion for music, perhaps setting some of their social studies and science materials to song will help them better absorb the information. Also, the best way to create connections in students minds is to have them learn and then create something representing their learning. It is important to have that type of space so as to ensure that students do not form a sense of anxiety when entering the room or when studying that particular subject. I love creating a variety of activities: group, individual, hands-on, problem solving, comprehension and reading, and activities where students have to get up and move around. A Little Bit About Me...

I was homeschooled for the majority of my education which enabled me to assit my younger brothers and sisters in their studies. I taught a few Science classes including botony and a study of birds and have tutored in highschool math as well. I played volleyball, took 3 years of piano, and was a member of Chior as well. I worked as a teachers aide in a preschool for 2 years. I worked with children from the age of 6 weeks to 5 years. I plan on going to college for either business or diognostic sonography.
I love working with kids of all ages. All children are unique and they all learn in different ways. I believe its the teachers responsibllity to understand how their students learn best and then help communicate the curriculum to them in a way that they will best uderstand and retain that knowledge.
