I am a graduate of the University of Florida and have been fortunate enough to excel in school throughout my life. I started tutoring in middle school and continued throughout my college career. I earned my bachelors degree in Accounting so I would like to believe my education is well-rounded. My favorite/strongest subject is math but am versatile in all subject areas. I graduated from Davidson College with a major in economics, which has enabled me to gain an understanding of both math and social science. I tutored during my junior and senior years in North Carolina and I've also done private tutoring in Gainesville. In addition, I coached 4-12 year olds how to swim. If I can teach 4 year olds who are screaming and kicking how to swim I can teach someone math or ecnomoics.
I really enjoy teaching all ages. From my background in coaching young children how to swim I've become well adjusted to dealing with difficult situatioins in a learning environment. However, I always want to provide my students with the best learning environment possible. I am currently enrolled in the graduate engineering program at the University of Florida, in which I plan to graduate in the spring of 2012. I enjoy working with people and I have a strong background in numerical analysis. I have taken the GRE, ACT, and the SAT. Scores were high above the national average for math and at about the average for the written portion. I do have experience in writing research papers and laboratory reports, all in the field of civil engineering.

I served as a graduate teaching assistant while studying for my graduate degree. It gave me an opportunity to lecture on accounting and finance to undergraduate students. I saw many students struggling with complex accounting and finance questions during the class. After class I would tutor these students. I have significant experience in Accounting & Finance. I began my introduction to this area by earning bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Accounting.
