I always try and connect their interests to the material, so it is more than just words and starts to be interesting. Chemistry is scary to many people, because they try to memorize, it’s too intricate remember everything. I teach the student to understand why and how substances react or behave. Knowledge of basics, allows the student to solve problems as they are given instead of memorizing specific answers. I studied at Kalamazoo college, which was a liberal arts school that encouraged students to take a variety of courses. While, my major and expertise is in Biology, I learned about many different subjects and cultures through study abroad and course work. A Little Bit About Me...

I have a bachelor's and a master's degree in Biology. I was a full time college lecturer in Biology and Anatomy&Physiology from 2004 until 2008. This past year I returned to school to obtain an MD. I am currently a medical student and have completed medical school level anatomy, embryology, histology, biochemistry and neuroscience.

Science is not the easiest of concepts to grasp so in order to enhance student learning I input a bit of humor into my lesson.
