My teaching style would be that of Guided Discovery. This is a highly interactive style which leads the student to uncover the answer themselves as opposed to the teacher simply reciting the answer to them. Guided Discovery requires the student to learn by doing therefore developing necessary problem solving and deductive skills that will make them better learners and thinkers both now and in the future. I implement this style by asking leading questions, giving examples, making analagies and asking the student what they think or ask them to explain how they came upon a certain conclusion. As a former military child, I have learned to adapt very quickly to any situation and believe every experience is a learning one. I have worked with both military and non-military with my duties in some jobs included helping people with software and computer skills. My undergraduate degree in Mass Communications strengthened my ability to communicate effectively and sparked further interest in education.
