I have taught chemistry at the high school, community college, and university levels. I can also teach math at the high school level or lower. I have taught students of diverse races, ages genders and nationalities. I have taught during the day, evenings, and week-ends. Most of my working life has been about teaching. Actually, I am a trained teacher and hold the equivalent of an AA degree with emphasis on teaching chemistry and mathematics at the high school level. During my teacher training program, I won a distinction award for excellence in teaching. I am also trained to teach online chemistry at the college level, and have used it to teach two summer sessions.

I have always desired to be a teacher. I graduated from Penn State in 1981 with an English degree and a music minor. I have since continued to take classes in both English and Music Education. I have taught all grades, tutored individuals and groups in summer school, and have a private studio as a music teacher. I have tutored students with reading difficulties for 20 years. A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy helping students find the writer within them! For example, a few of my own children were reluctant writers, so I developed a daily routine of assigning them to write a full page about anything they desired.
