My teaching style is different for each student. I have never considered myself a student that things come easy to. I always had to find a way to relate to the material, and when I tutor that is exactly what I try to achieve with each student. Sometimes all it takes is it being explained one more time a different way.
As a graduate of the top chiropractic school in the world, I have achieved a high level of education. I have a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Through out the years I have taught 5-8th graders in various subjects, as well as helped teach for a national board review company to chiropractic students all over the country in a variety of topics. When tutoring a student, I like to start with giving the student a few problems to see where their competency level lies. From there, I proceed like a teacher in a classroom would. I explain a problem while I am solving it step by step on a piece of paper. This allows the student to learn two separate ways-visually and orally. Once an idea is grasped, I like to give the student a couple of similar problems to solve on their own. With a degree in Marketing and a year of school for mechanical engineering I have completed a number of calculus classes throughout the years. I supported myself throughout college and beyond in the Food and Beverage Service Industry and took a job in the Insurance Industry after graduating. I am now in the process of starting my own company and am looking for extra work as well. I really enjoy teaching and have aided in teaching math to young family members and to children of my friends.

While going to college at the UW – Eau Claire, I've been a math and statistics tutor for the past four years. I've also been a Teacher’s Assistant for a statistics Professor where my duties consisted of running review sessions for the class before quizzes and exams along with grading homework and exams. I have completed four statistics courses dealing with different areas of statistics. I also have experience in one-on-one tutoring. Over the past four years I’ve tutored seven students individually meeting at the library to work. Last year, though, I worked with a student who had Cerebral Palsy.
