I am kind of new to teaching. I have taught my little brother everything he knows, and I've been told I have a really good way of teaching. Younger students catch on very quickly to what it is I am teaching. If they don't catch on quick, then no problem. I'm very patient and never give up until a student understands the concept. I am very easy to get along with, so the student will have no problems with me. A Little Bit About Me...

My first aim when I am working with students is to establish a rapport - being a college student always helps. I am patient in the classroom and try my best to tackle problems/questions from new angles if students don't seem to understand; I have spent much time working with non-native English speakers, which has enabled me to develop an intuitive sense of where a particular misunderstanding might originate. I find students write best when they respond to personal dilemmas or questions, and teach that reading and writing are one of the best ways to become empowered citizens. I believe students benefit most from seeing how the written word functions in the real world on both individual and community levels.

I am a Fresno State graduate with my BA Degree in Liberal Studies. I'm currently in the Multiple-Subject Credential Program. I have two years experience tutoring by working for the Madera Adult School CBET Program. I tutor all grades and all subjects. I also have tutored for a semester during my Junior year of high school. I am very well rounded in all subject matters like: history, math, English/langauge arts, music, drama, geography and science topics.
My teaching style is very unique. I start off by just getting to know the student and having them get to know and trust me. I then build on that trust factor while helping the students with their homework. I connect well with students and they trust me.
