Improve your English based on profession, schedule and needs

I've always been interested in foreign languages and other cultures. While living in New York City, I hosted many international visitors and always enjoyed coaching them on their English. So a couple years ago, I decided to get a certificate in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) at The New School in New York City. The program focused on practical techniques and emphasized lessons that integrate grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, writing, listening, and speaking. During my time at The New School, I taught a small group of Chinese- and Spanish-speaking students for about eighteen months, and I also taught another group of Arabic-speaking students for about nine months. I am a PA certified tutor, with conflict resolution, mentor, and CERT training (Community Emergency Rescue Team).
